To make a databases in linux , llike use MYSQL and Apache. Some one must to install the LAMPP. Is a open source databases program you can download that program free from source web.
I use Ubuntu Muslim Edition 8.0 as OS and LAMP 1.6.8a for databases, so in this subject I will post my experience about how to install LAMPP in Linux specially in Ubuntu Muslim Edition 8.0. I hope this good for some one next time.
Step by step Installation of LAMPP in Ubuntu.
1. Download xampp for linux. For the program please connect to source web.
xampp-linux-1.6.8a.tar.gz
2. extract that file from terminal (ex to folder opt) :
$ sudo tar xvfz xampp-linux-1.6.8a.tar.gz -C /opt
Insert your password, and wait until finish.
3. test the connection, is connected or not ?. from terminal type :
$ sudo /opt/lampp/lampp start
Insert your password, and wait until connected (started.)
If you failed, please restart your computer and do step 3 again
4. Open from browser by type :
http://localhost [enter]
any problem with the browser ?..............
the localhost didn’t open ?
please contact your administration network and look at host, +add inside the IP address with your computer IP and aliases with localhost.
If all of these you do with currently, you will success in XAMPP and do the next step by select language you will use.
